Laser (1, 7, 13)- The most basic of all eden weapons.
Microwaves being stronger than lasers is a misconception.
Microwaves only have an advantage early due to the fact that
microwaves are the only energy weapon available to Plymouth
allowing early research of heat dissopation systems.
Electro-Magnetic Pulse (2, 8, 14)- Widely used electronic
warfare weapon. If you take the time to research EMP, be sure to
also research Acid Clouds to allow research of upgrading
gernade-loading weapons.
Rail Gun (3, 9, 15)- The only common ore range weapon
available to Eden. Rail Guns are often unreliable so it is
recommended that they are used in the combined-arms.
Starflare (4, 10, 16)- Explosive charge. Can be used, but
often neglected, in a tactical situation. When combined with
EMPs, Flares can often destroy or damage multiple vehicles.
Acid Cloud (5, 11, 17)- Eden gernade-loaded weapon that
affects vehicles over an area. Pound-for-pound, this is the
strongest of all area-affected weapons are are best utilized in
high-intensity conflicts. Drawbacks include: Affects friendly
targets and affects buildings so poorly that it might be faster
to take out a building if the drivers got out and hurled rocks
and sticks.
Thor's Hammer (6, 12, 18)- Concentrated raw energy. What the
Acid Clouds don't do, this will do. Extremely long range,
excellent low-intensity conflict weapon, and cuts through
buildings like a hot knife through butter.
Basic Tips
Due to the nature of Eden weapons, they are best utilized in
high-intensity conflicts and combined arms with Plymouth's
dislocating weapons. Rare ore is almost a necessity.
Low-mark game: Research EMPs, then go for Acid Cloud or Thor's
Hammer. Early defense might include EMPs, Lasers, and Rail Guns
in a 2:1:1 ratio. Don't worry about researching Tigers until you
have a well fortified area.
High-mark game: Use Acid/EMP Tiger combo as an ordinary force,
then use Thor Lynx as an extraordinary force.
